Tweseldown Infant School

Rabbit Class

Welcome to Rabbit Class. Miss Bell and Mrs Williams hope you enjoy learning all about what we have been getting up to in Rabbit class.

In Rabbit Class we promise to:

  • Put our hands up
  • Share and take turns
  • Play together
  • Say please and thank you
  • Listen to each other
  • Walk around school quietly
  • Look after our toys
  • Tidy up

Our topic for his half term has been celebrations. We have looked at firework poems, created a dance as well as explore the sounds fireworks make using a variety of musical instruments. We had a guest speaker, Mrs Das, one of our lunchtime supervisors come into talk to us about Diwali. We looked at how Diwali is celebrated, made rangoli patterns and wrote in our Diwali cards.

During maths week we were very excited to receive a clue on a puzzle piece that we had solve as a class. Each piece of the puzzle that we solved enabled us to plan for our very own class party as a part of our celebration topic.

In maths we have also been looking at adding and subtracting practically. We have been practising counting backwards and forwards from different starting points on a number line.

In Phonics we have finished Phase three sounds and have been working hard learning our new tricky words. We have been using these new sounds and words in our writing. In January we are looking forward to starting Phase four phonics.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
