Rabbit Class

Welcome to Rabbit Class.

The adults in Rabbit class have enjoyed getting to know you all during our first half term together.  We have been accessing lots of fun activities across the seven areas of learning and development; Literacy, Maths, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design and Communication and Language.

This half term we learnt about ourselves and our friends in Rabbit class through our 'Marvellous Me' topic.  We have been talking about our favourite things including colours, food and what we would like to be when we grow up!

Our topic this half term is: Celebrations.  We want to find out what types of celebrations you have and how you celebrate with your family.  We will be having our own celebration in class whilst learning about the celebrations of others.

We have already learnt the sounds for the letters s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u and r.  We hope you are ready to learn some more phonic sounds this half term as well as some tricky words!

In Maths we will be continuing to order our numbers to 10 and then move on to 20!  We will be trying to start counting from different numbers other than 1.  We will also be comparing height and length, looking at patterns and shapes
