Owl

Welcome to Year 2 and Owl Class!

With the first half term of Year under our belts, Owl Class are looking forward to the next topic: 'Defying Gravity!'  There is so much to look forward to and learn about!

We will be learning about the life of Isaac Newton and his discoveries.  We will also learn to name and identify the continents and oceans of the World, by learning songs and exploring maps, atlases and globes.  We will explore life beyond Earth using some Space-themed texts and we will write instructions for going to Space and also a postcard from Space.  We will learn to multiply, divide and identify 2D shapes.  Maths Week will be very exciting!  We will be taking on an enterprise project.

Nearing the end of the term, we will practise for our Carol Concert and for our appearance at 'Fleet Festivities' which we look forward to performing at.  We will also make festive tarts and learn about learn about light as a symbol for different religions.
