Fleet Carnival 2023
Wow! As always, we took part in the annual Fleet Carnival on the 1st July. The theme for the Carnival this year was children's books, so as a school, Tweseldown chose to do The Hungry Caterpillar!
For the last few months, we have been busy making costumes for the 106 children that wished to take part. We had many parent volunteers come in to join is for our craft sessions, where we made 53 organza butterfly wings and antenna headbands for year R, 27 food costumes and headbands for year 1. Last but not least, one giant caterpillar and headbands for 26 year 2 children. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help the school out with making all the costumes and props needed to make the day a success! It is very much appreciated.
Well done to all the children for walking so beautifully and waving to all the crowds. We are so proud of you all.
Thank you to Colourways in Aldershot for our lovely t-shirts for the Carnival! The winners of our drawing competition were put on the front of our t-shirts for the Carnival. They were fabulous. Thank you!
Due to everyone's tremendous help, Tweseldown Infant School came 2nd in the judging for schools taking part in the procession.
