Tweseldown Infant School

Welcome to Deer Class!

What a fantastic start to 2020 Deer class have had!

We have been learning all about the RMS Titanic.  The children and the teachers have learnt lots of facts about the colossal ship which sailed in 1912.  We know that the Titanic was one of the first liners to provide food for third class passengers and these passengers had to share two baths between around 700 people!  The children also learnt that the fourth funnel on the Titanic was a fake!  It was built to make the ship look pretty.  The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Seacity museum in Southampton.  Some of the children got to dress up as passengers, crew and the captain.

Deer class presented their facts and findings about the Titanic to their grown-ups during our class assembly this half term.  All the children learnt their words and could confidently stand up in front of the whole school and say them out loud.

Well done Deer class!
